Null Set Films is an independent media content producer created in Bushwick, Brooklyn by Jan-Luc VanDamme in 2003. It includes, but is not limited to, a collective of artists that add value to the end products.

There is a new media sense emerging. From High Definition television to iPod portables and cell phones, our intake of information ranges from sources of huge budget studios to on the spot home recordings. Our visual literacy is challenged to digest exactly what it is we’re getting and what it’s saying, selling or revealing.

NSF stands for looking through the illusion of capitalistic comfort TV sells us and finding truth in stories of human interests. We serve individuals and groups that persue independent goals instrumental in furthering thought and awareness. We reflect on events resonating the voices of a positive social climate.

The documentary projects utilize a direct approach, cinematically complimenting the plight of their subjects. The goal is to capture dramatic moments so completely as to place the viewer in it for an immersive experience. The performance videos and edits serve the projects on an individual basis. Coverage is chosen to best emphasize the uniqueness of the event.
